The San Antonio Firearms Training Combat Pistol Block 1 is a one day (6 Hour) course that will consist of both classroom and live fire training. The weapon will be fired at distances from 3-50+ yards. This class is designed to familiarize the shooter with the modern combat Pistol, and to provide the student with a solid skill set to be built upon in continued training after the conclusion of the class.

This class is a fast paced class that will require shooting from multiple positions and a moderate amount of movement and physical exertion. Live fire will be conducted on both paper and steel targets.
Required Equipment:
- Semi-Automatic Pistol (can be rented from SAFT at the class) with the following:
- Reliable Sighting System
- Center-Fire (9mm, .40, .45, etc)
- High Quality Holster (1 minimum but consider bringing multiple)
- Tactical or Range Holster
- Concealed Carry Holster
- 3 Magazines (minimum)
- Magazine Carrier of some type (2 mags min)
- 200-300 rds of ammunition
- Eye and Ear Protection
Recommended Items:
- Sunscreen
- Hat
- Sunglasses
- Seasonably appropriate comfortable clothing
- Comfortable Shoes
- Consider a Long Sleeve Shirt and/or Pants for work in alternate positions
- Knee and/or Elbow Pads if desired
- Food, Drinks, or Snacks
- Any necessary medications
- Insect Repellant
